Consolidation of all Path to Home basic needs services into a 24/7 facility. In partnership with some community-minded local developers and the City of Boulder, we have begun renovation on the former Robb’s music space at 2691 30th Street.  The property will become the Navigation Center anticipated in the City of Boulder’s homeless service strategy and, in 2020, will be developed into permanently affordable housing.  The goal is to open the facility for 24/7 Path to Home operations this Spring.

As of January 2018, we have already located Path to Home day time navigation services at 2691 30th Street. We are providing case management and hosting the Coordinate Entry screeners who are responsible for assessing new clients seeking homeless services. We are seeing over 25 people a day and are excited to see growing participation and results due to making services more housing-focused and intentional.

Path to Home overnight operations remain with at faith community locations. We truly cannot offer the safe and legal shelter without the support and generosity of our faith partners who open their doors each night. Path to Home has capacity for 50 adults on regular nights and up to 150 on nights when temperatures drop below 32 degrees.

Bridge House is also collaborating with the City of Aurora and other stakeholders to replicate Ready to Work – our unique, “work-first” solution to homelessness. In January our proposed location at 3176 S. Peoria Court was approved and now we are on track to close on the property by April. Our goal is to open our doors at Ready to Work Aurora by January 2019 after we renovate the facility from an office se to dormitory housing. We will offer housing and jobs to 50 adults transitioning out of homelessness in Aurora. Ready to Work Aurora will join with Ready to Work Boulder for a total capacity of 94 Ready to Work positions in the metro-Denver region.

Much more information will be available on this project as we proceed. If you want to see Ready to Work Boulder in action, please email emily@boulderbridgehouse.org to schedule a tour.

We are so grateful for your belief in our work and in the power of human beings to seize opportunities to change their lives. At Bridge House we continue to focus on creating efficiency and effectiveness in all our programs. 2018 will be no exception.

I am available for questions and suggestions so please do not hesitate to reach out to me at isabel@boulderbridgehouse.org

Thank you!
