As part of a responsible financial stabilization plan, Bridge House is sharing difficult news about operational changes. After careful review of current operating realities, financial sustainability, and the need to protect our long-term mission, Bridge House has made the difficult decision to implement the following changes:

• Community Table Kitchen and its lines of business will close effective August 7, 2026.

• Aurora’s Ready to Work program will close effective September 30, 2026.

• Bridge House Community Relations Manager positions will be eliminated effective July 31, 2026.

Additionally, the organization continues to analyze the operational structure of day resource services at the Tri-Cities Homeless Navigation Center.

Equally as important is what continues:

• The Boulder and Englewood Ready to Work programs, and their outdoor work crews, will continue operations.

• Bridge House will continue serving adults experiencing homelessness in Boulder, Englewood, Aurora, Tri-Cities, and the broader region, as applicable.

• Overnight beds at the Navigation Center continue.

Supporting dignified transitions is a priority:

• Bridge House will work with each Ready to Work intern and trainee in Aurora on an individualized transition plan. Depending on each person's situation, options may include transition to another Ready to Work location, transition to another appropriate community program, or another plan based on individual needs, availability, and goals.

• We are taking authentic care and a compassionate approach with impacted staff.

These decisions were extraordinarily difficult. They reflect the need to focus resources where Bridge House can continue to provide strong, sustainable services for people experiencing homelessness.

The Boulder and Englewood Ready to Work programs and houses, and their outdoor work crews,will continue operations.

We are deeply grateful to the staff, trainees, volunteers, customers, funders, donors, municipal partners, and community members who have supported this work. These decisions are not a reflection of the dedication or quality of the people who have served through these programs. Bridge House is committed to communicating directly with affected staff and stakeholders, supporting dignified transitions, and continuing the work that remains central to our mission.

These changes are part of a focused effort to stabilize Bridge House and position the organization to continue serving people experiencing homelessness across the communities we serve.
