Boulder Homeless Service Collaborative

Dear Supporter –

It is our pleasure to announce some exciting changes on behalf of the Boulder Homeless Service Collaborative. The Boulder Homeless Service Collaborative is a partnership between Bridge House, Boulder Outreach for Homeless Overflow (BOHO), and the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless.

On November 2, 2015 we will launch a new model of day services serving homeless adults in Boulder. Through our collaboration we will pilot new approaches to delivering both basic needs and case management services.

The new Boulder Homeless Service Collaborative Day Shelter is a program of BOHO and Bridge House with BOHO overseeing all staffing, space management and logistics. The day shelter will revolve between downtown faith community spaces generously donated by our faith community partners 6 days per week. Bridge House will provide meals through the Community Table Kitchen culinary arts program and will coordinate volunteers.  Additionally, Bridge House will provide outreach case management at the Day Shelter to engage clients in “welcome meetings” and encourage them to seek program services at the Resource Center and with other providers.

The expanded Boulder Homeless Service Collaborative Resource Center is a program of Bridge House and the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless with Bridge House leading all case management and service provider coordination efforts. The Resource Center will continue with the current schedule at the First Presbyterian Church on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00AM to 3:00pm and, as of this November, will add three additional mornings, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, hosted at the Shelter.

We are thankful for this opportunity to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our continuum of services to help homeless men and women in our community. We have been fortunate to have terrific support from faith communities, and donors such as the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, The Denver Foundation, the City of Boulder and Boulder County.

We still need volunteer support for all of the current meal service functions and for some new exciting roles at the expanded Resource Center. Thank you for your service. Please email Scott Medina at [email protected] for more details.

We appreciate your ongoing support and collaboration! Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions or would like to get involved!

Sincerely,
